NDT Level 2 Engineer

Job Description

  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections and testing on wheels, brakes, and their substructure components within authorised parameters. This includes tasks such as setting up and calibrating test equipment, conducting individual tests, and reporting the results, among other responsibilities.
  • Identify and assess all defects discovered on components during inspection/testing using NDT methods.
  • Issue EASA FORM1 for NDT-approved components within authorised scope.
  • Utilise maintenance data to perform and sign off on job cards within authorised scope.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and equipment, ensuring that all specialised equipment is used in accordance with approved manuals and that personnel possess adequate qualifications, knowledge, and experience.

  • Minimum age - 21 years 
  • Education: Trained in relevant test methods according to DIN EN 4179, including Magnetic Particle Inspection, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, with Eddy Current Inspection (advantageous), and Ultrasonic Inspection (advantageous).
  • Medical: Valid periodical medical eye examination in accordance with DIN EN 4179
  • Possessing practical skills and knowledge for part inspection and equipment setup in accordance with test instructions.
  • Experience: Qualification obtained within the last 6 to 12 months, accompanied by practical maintenance experience, or an equivalent experience gained at another approved aircraft or components maintenance organization.
  • English Language: Adequate proficiency in reading and writing, with a functional understanding of the language in which maintenance data is primarily published (mostly English).
